This site is exists as my outlet to the world. The content here will include personal reflections on my life and the journey that I am on in addition to distilled content that I pick up along the way.

I am passionate about our environment as a whole. The big picture phenomena such as the climate, air quality and biodiversity all affect us in ways that most of us cannot comprehend and I believe no-one fully understands. We are as a species treating these with lack of respect and I believe it is important for us to take a hard look at what we are doing and see how we can modify our business practices to make sure that care for the environment is ingrained in our business practices.

I fascinated by the small, every day tangible things that have a great effect on our well being. Many people are unaware of the thought that goes into notifications at a cross walk and that the button in an app we use on our phone is designed to elicit a certain response. Some of those people are in product design and it is interesting to talk to them as they learn that just because something works, it may not be good.

The community I live in is very important to me. Many people forget the small interactions with strangers that make life so much better. My favorite little thing is to say “Good Morning” to everyone on that can hear me as I head into work. It’s especially rewarding when I do this on the bike path and have time to notice the people’s reaction, which is almost universally a smile. What can you do to make the world a better place?
